Following The Serpent's Lair (Projekt Records, 2000), the critically acclaimed collaboration with award winning recording artist and sonic innovator Steve Roach, NOT WITHOUT RISK is Byron Metcalf's second solo release. Byron's ability to combine his unique proficiency as a drummer/percussionist with his background as a psychologist and shamanic practitioner has been attracting fans and fellow voyagers worldwide since his 1998 debut release of Helpers, Guides & Allies.

Byron's music is being used in a wide spectrum of contexts including experiential shamanism and journey work, various meditation practices, breathwork, trance dance, bodywork and other healing arts. Fusing layers of organic drums and percussion, didgeridoo, sound-worlds and sonic atmospheres, various indigenous instruments and voice, NOT WITHOUT RISK invites and challenges the listener to push the boundaries of their own reality... to risk venturing into new levels and depths of one's self...

Handmade artisan rattles composed of upcycled leather with Colombian quartz and Peruvian Chrysocolla.

DISCOUNTED/2nds: This Pyramid has a slightly more noticeable white top of the pyramid. When the light is turned on it does not glow as much in the top. This is an opened box that was returned. We plugged it in and it works beautifully even though its glow is duller near the top with more white color when not lit. Not shown in the image.

DISCOUNTED/2NDS: This crystal broke and was glued back together. It is not very noticeable with the naked-eye but may cause a weak point in the necklace which could break again in the future. A crafty person may be able to reinforce the pendant with a wire wrap, which could enhance the beauty and uniqueness of the crystal pendant. (Break not shown in photos)
