One end is covered in black leather suede. Bowls can be stroked with both ends of the mallet.

The leather-covered end is ideal for bass sounds while the wooden part of the mallet is used to produce higher tones. Three wood grooves are turned into the wood for better grasping. Made in Nepal.

It represents the foundation of the physical world and is also associated with certain tantric deities. It also represents the indestructible diamond-like nature of the Buddha's teachings.
