    We have had the pleasure of sourcing Palo Santo and working with the same Peruvian community for over five years. The native community is currently coordinating with the authorities on certification of a reforestation program. Until then, a small nursery has been started to observe and better understand the process of Palo Santo reforestation. They have planted over 1,000 branches of Palo Santo and have reforested over 700 small plants.

    The Palo Santo in our cones is sourced from a forest that is managed, authorized and certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (SERFOR) of Peru. Only Palo Santo trees and branches that have fallen naturally and have remained on the land for at least 3 to 4 years are used. Pachamama, Mother Earth, is not harmed by this method of harvesting. The Palo Santo wood is machined into sawdust, pressed, and hand made into cone incense.

We have reduced the number of plastic bags used in the kit and now use recycled paper to wrap the ingredients. The kit now comes in a recycled plastic container and includes: Alphabet Pasta, Amaranth, Corn, Oatmeal, Rice, Animal Cracker Cookies, Bay Leaves (3 sets of 5 kintu's each) and Sage Mix (w/tobacco & scallop shell), Assorted Candy, Carnations (red, white & yellow), Confetti, Cotton Balls, Feathers, Folded Paper, Rainbow Tissue Paper, & Ribbon (gold & silver), Garbanzo & Lima Beans and Peanuts, Incense, Lavender, Money (play), Raisins, Starfish, Stars, Sugar, Sunflower Seeds, Twine, Wine (red & white)
